COOLING TEST                                                                                       Annexure-A

1.0     Pre-cooling Test :

This test shall be conducted to record the time taken for cooling the coach without passenger, with fresh air filters closed, lights and fans switched ‘ON’ and after raising the inside temperature of air-conditioned compartment to 45° C (With Heater ‘ON’).

          Procedure:

1.1         Place the coach inside the shed

1.2         Close all fresh air intake openings.

1.3         Switch ON all lights and fans. Set the Electronic thermostat at ‘AUTO MODE’ position of both sides and run both the AC package units in auto mode keeping compensating load OFF.

1.4         Record the timings for ‘cut off’ of both the plants.

1.5         Total time taken by each plant to cool the coach shall not exceed one hour

1.6         The measurement shall be recorded as under:
